The Food. The Lord. Plenty. How long will it last? Is there a future like Mad Max® or something worse? The struggle of getting food. Or other resources? Anyway. No matter what. At the moment, I’m thankful for being alive and well fed. Even if it comes with a price.

How fragile is stable enough? How fragile is fragile? How enough is enough? How fragile I have to be for being in the club. What club? The fragile club? Am I a member anyway?

Without doubt. Those were seven exciting days. A firework of intellectual exchange. My first attempts at walking in a field that I had only experienced as a viewer until then. Performance art. What is it? How do you do that? Can I do that at all? Two workshops, each three and a half days long, gave me a first impression of how I can cope in this cosmos. Under the professional direction of Dagmar I. Glausnitzer-Smith, as workshop participants, we were confronted with ourselves and with exercises of our expression in various questions. Focused analysis afterwards. At the end of both workshops, a specially devised performance followed. Without rehearsing complex courses of action. The circumstances of the chosen room played a particularly important role in my second action. The two shorts »AND THE LORD GIVES US FOOD« and »FRAGILE ENOUGH« were created from the visual documentation of my actions.

Ohne Zweifel. Das waren sieben spannende Tage. Ein Feuerwerk des gedanklichen Austauschs. Meine ersten Gehversuche auf einem Feld, dass ich bis dahin nur als Betrachter erlebt habe. Performance Art. Was ist das? Wie macht man das? Kann ich das überhaupt? Zwei Workshops, jeweils dreieinhalb Tage lang, haben mir einen ersten Eindruck vermittelt, wie ich in diesem Kosmos zurechtkomme. Unter professioneller Leitung von Dagmar I. Glausnitzer-Smith wurden wir als Workshop-Teilnehmer in verschiedenen Fragestellungen mit uns selber und mit Übungen unseres Ausdrucks konfrontiert. Fokussierte Analyse im Anschluss. Am Ende beider Workshops folgte eine eigens erdachte Performance. Ohne Einstudieren komplexer Handlungsabläufe. Die Gegebenheiten des gewählten Raumes spielten besonders bei meiner zweiten Aktion eine große Rolle. Aus der bildlichen Dokumentation meiner Aktionen sind die beiden Kurzfilme, »AND THE LORD GIVES US FOOD« und »FRAGILE ENOUGH«, entstanden.
